The Uitenhage  Chapter of the John Walton Alumni Association hosted a very successful social gathering  on Saturday, 11 June 2011 at the school. According to Secretary, Saloma September, the objective of the gathering was to faciliate networking amongst alumni, create awareness and continue with the Association's membership registration drive. Judging from the pictures that were posted on    the Association's facebook page, the gathering was representative of a wide spectrum of alumni generations. 

Attendees also had an opportunity to watch the  much awaited clash between  the Stormers and the Blue Bulls in-between all the braaing and catching up with old friends and teachers.Something that clearly contributed to the festival like atmosphere that was present.
